/ About the project

This project was an exploration of fictional sea creature design. Drawing inspiration from real-life organisms such as sea slugs and starfish, I aimed to create surreal, clearly stylized creatures that embraced their digital nature. In addition to the fauna, I also designed underwater flora, developing sponges, corals, and other lifeforms as USD assets with multiple variants.

My workflow combined procedural modeling, sculpting, and rigging with KineFX, along with procedural texturing in Copernicus (COPs). For look development, I experimented with volume lighting and immersive underwater environments to bring the creatures to life.
